This 78 mm PDI Big Boss turbo supplies pressurized intake air to CAT 3406/C15/C16 engines, using energy from the engine’s exhaust to drive its compressor.
This version uses a stainless-steel exhaust housing. Exhaust gas turns the turbine wheel, which drives the compressor wheel on the same shaft. The compressor then forces air into the engine’s charge-air system. The wheel size, housing and mounting connections are the main details to match when choosing this turbo for a replacement or planned engine setup.
